Course Aims

DataCom Interactive provides the 7300 Level 2 certificate – Introduction to Trainer Skills. The course is the first on the qualification ladder available to those who wish to deliver training programmes . The aims are to provide participants with a sound introduction to the concepts of a systematic approach to training. This introduction to trainer skills is suitable for career progression for those responsible for delivering training as part of their employment within an organisation. Also for those who are not already in the workplace and who require evidence for the SVQ in Learning and Development.
No specific prior qualifications, learning or experience are required for candidates undertaking this qualification. The nature of both the learning and assessment of each candidate requires that candidates can interpret written tasks and write and organise information and answers in a legible and understandable form.

This intensive two day course is ideal for those who have responsibility for training others in their organisation.

Progression

7407 Stage 1: Certificate in Further Education Teaching
7407 Stage 2: Certificate in Further Education Teaching
On completion of the 7407 courses, you may wish to consider the option of undertaking a PGCE or Certificate in Education programme.

Course Content

• The course is over two days and based on the training cycle covering:
• Planning (including session planning)
• Delivery (participants will cover a 10 – 15 minute ‘session’ that they have planned)
• Evaluation (self, peer group and course evaluation)

• Setting the ground rules
• Use of icebreakers
• The learning environment
• Training resources
• Gaining and maintaining attention
• Motivation
• Assessment
